Library Center Startup Kit

Today’s the Day!

Jessica Lodge, Cari Young, and I will soon be stationed at an AASL IDEAxCHANGE table ready to answer participant questions about library centers! We cannot wait!

Many of you probably have other plans today teaching small children to love the library.

Never fear though, we have thought of you! Each of us is posting a co-authored Library Centers Starter Kit on TeachersPayTeachers for FREE! Included are 48 pages of centery-goodness! Each of the 15 centers included has a poster naming the center along with objectives, a how-to page of materials, setup suggestions, and AASL Standards, and accompanying materials for a few. There’s also a Centers Planning Guide so you can document how your centers fit into your lesson planning and meet your instructional objectives.

If you see something else you love at TeachersPayTeachers, don’t buy it yet! Our three stores are all going on sale November 17-20th in honor of our AASL presentation. Wait until then and plan to stock up!

If you have centers questions or stories give us a shout-out on twitter at #librarycenters. I always love looking at others centers for ideas. There are so many opportunities for our students in the library!

If you are in Hartford, please stop by! I’m a babble-machine on the blog, but in person I’m horrible at small talk. I’ll try though because I am really excited to meet you!
