Bubble Totes

This is completely random…. but these bubble totes are my new favorite thing! I bought a few at Michaels the first week of school not knowing what I would put in them, but thinking they looked useful. Then I taught Kindergarten from a wagon during Book Fair. These were perfect to organize the flannel board pieces we were using.

The next week I started teaching some reading groups. I went back to Michaels (hoping they would be on sale…) and got five more for my reading groups.

Then this weekend I was trying to organize resources for a grade level research project about ocean animals. Back I went to Michaels…. I was disappointed they weren’t yet on sale. I thought that surely four weeks later they would be nearly sold out and on clearance. The salesperson was very nice and gave me an extra coupon!

These totes are the perfect size for about ten books. They keep their shape and have handles. I labeled a dozen of them with animal types for students to use for research. It worked so much better than keeping the books on a cart for students to browse.

Such a small thing, but it makes me very happy!

  1. Ooooh! Useful and with bright colors. I like. :]

    • Very useful! These simple totes have made our research unit get off to a great start. It helps me to know that I have enough resources for each topic and how many students can be assigned to each topic.
